A simple six step ‘Yin andYang’ guide to let your novel flow and get it down on paper.

Is it an abyss? Is it a scowling mountain of intimidation? The swirling mass of images, thoughts, snippets of conversation, like an evil stew mixed with ‘eye of newt and hair of toad,’ (okay that is a little over the top) but it is there, an infant demanding attention — your novel.

You know you can get this morass into a shape… it just… just won’t flow.

I know this feeling. Many writers, creators do. There are thousands of courses on how to write a novel. Like many I have invested time and hard earned cash in the hope of being a ‘writer.’ Being a writer is an ever evolving animal and is difficult to define. With the myriad of publishing platforms, marketing avenues, self-publishing possibilities, joined by social media options the writer’s head can begin to spin. Add to this the fact everyone wants to sell you a course, it can become paralyzing.

With quarantine or isolation throttling our lives, coupled with the plethora of accessibility that infests us through our digital devices, the myriad of courses enticing creatives to part with their meager funds borders on assault.
