I see the current stasis in America similar to a cyst. It must be lanced, squeezed, and the infected, putrid thinking purged. I know that is an obscene metaphor but time is wasting and the infection is heating up. Whether it is gender issues, Trump absurdities, gunning down children or the generation lost to opiates or any number of ego-pumping wannabes (MTG et al) the solution rests in either cutting it out or taking the medicine of character reform. I see neither happening as hubris has inflated to such a level in America that the best treatment is a radical reset. Is the American dream capable of withstanding that?

The elected leaders are too invested in self preservation to think of the country.
