Varying sentence length is fun for writer and reader alike. I often write listening to various genres of music. A truly inspiring ‘sentence length’ composer is Erik Satie. His Gymnopedies is, to me, like literary flow. Often said to be more of a laboring pianist and more attuned to math than creativity, I think that label is an injustice. His work can dictate sentence structure in a playful surprising way. Depending on what you are writing, so can Pink. Music flows so should words. Great article, thanks
