Thanks for the read. I have no bone to pick with the validity of your argument, however in my experience I have learned that if you are confronted by a rabid dog do not choose to bait and attack it. The dog is lathering and mentally unbalanced. Taunting or goading it will not result in a sensible outcome, regardless of your justifications. The beast of ignorance is rabid.
I live in Japan ( an extremely homogenous society) where masks are totally accepted and expected. Hand sanitizers are everywhere. Yes, there have been troubles with the Olympics and annual vacation periods. Yes, there is friction toward lockdowns. (But Tokyo restaurants close at 8pm - believe it- and can't serve alcohol- believe it.) Yet people understand it is for the greater good. They don't like it anymore than any other nation, but a small inconvenience when shopping or socializing is a mature response for a densley populated society.
The proliferance of 'Me First- Me Only' thinking regarding the anti vax and gun lobbies makes America, and unfortunatey Americans, if not quite a laughing stock then an object of bewilderment.
Look after you and yours the best you can and keep your voice heard, but caution how you prod the dog.
