Thank you for your thoughts.

Your intial article spoke of how America has invented everything of value and has been copied by a multitude of others.

Hong Kong copies American captialism? You now say the Americans invented capitalism?

Stock exchanges? I suppose you believe the US invented that and everyone has copierd it? Please don't tell the Ventians of the 1300s who were selling securities on other governments, nor the Belgians in the 1500s.

With the coffee houses being restricted in London the first stock echange was started in 1773 - 19 years before the NY exchange though that wasn't the first, it was in Philadelphia, though NY quickly eclipsed it.

I disagree on many of the accounts but that which staggers me is the assumption I know nothing of Japan. Why would you say that?

I live in Japan. I speak the anguage, am married to a Japanese, and have written five novels on the country.

I'm sorry, but your comment, 'worse things took place during the war than the atomic bombing of civilians?' ( I paraphrase)

I am not even interested in how you choose to measure the parameters of atrocity.

Thank you for the discourse. Adieu
