Nicely written Agnes. I am not in the crowd of the rich and famous. I sweat my days out in the realms of middle earth.

The entire issue condemns physical violence, ok, I am on board with that. It does not condemn and seems to almost encourage verbal and mental violence. I am not okay with that.

Who has the right to hurt? Will Smith? Chris Rock?

The trashy comic showed his true style when he chose to harass an innocent.

Of course Will could have handled it differently, but really, if he loves his wife in my mind he did the right thing that any partner would do. Stop the pain inflicted on his loved one.

I was more impressed with his ability to walk back to his seat. That was control. That kind of control is what Chris Rock needs on his mouth.

Verbal abuse, mental abuse, are crippling. What does Chris Rock do for kicks then? Go to hospitals and laugh at the bald heads of cancer patients? Does he mock those with mental disabilities. I imagine his next performance will be an imitation of some one suffering from CP. He disgusts me.

As a man, as an individual, and as a supposed entertainer he is scum, a parasite feeding on the unfortunate lives of others.

I know this may come out far too strong, but respect to Will for only hitting him once and being man enough to own up to not handling it well.

Where is the apology from the other assailant, for he assaulted Miss Pinket Smith? He snivels to the Academy.

I think there should be a hash tag #runrockoutoftown.

Yours was a nicely balanced article, I fear my comments are not.

Thanks Kevin
