Lovely writing. To have sadness portrayed with such humanity is a rare talent.

It made me think of the expression, 'the tree of life.'

So many different trees, no two alike. Festooned with billions of leaves, no two alike. Each leaf individually prescribed with unique shape, size, colour. We all flutter in the wind and when our time is spent, we age and wither, then journey to the ground below.

The simplicity and honesty of nature is too often lost on the supposedly complex mind of humans.
