I closed the laptop on Medium too easily. That’s enough of her.

I know many consider a boat to be female.
“Arrrr, matey, she be a fine vessel.”
Trains and planes are also female, even vehicles. This is the often case, at least to men. I wonder if female writers address boats or planes as male?
“Oi, listen up you lot,” the barmaid screamed. “He’s a dam fine dinghy.”

Nah, ‘he’ doesn’t work. So what of Medium then, is it gender neutral? A he? A she? They? Them? We ride the platform the same as we ride a boat or plane, and anchor our dreams even aspirations on it, therefore should it be female, our own Hera?

I know this may seem irrelevant, but not to me. I want to know the gender of the recipient I am distancing myself from.
She bores me.
She is tedious.
She doesn’t inspire me.
What is she doing? Where is she going? Is this all she has?
Sadly, I have grown dissatisfied with the listicles and “how I made xxx$ in 24 hrs” articles. Even some of the poetry I find abstract and unengaging.

Surely as journalists or poets we must,(neither of which fields I consider myself accomplished…
