Interesting piece. Personal stories are an oft fogotten legacy that should be passed down to younger generations to enrich them. The stories of others are truly gripping. The abrupt loss of my father 25 years ago still has people come up to me and ask if his stories and adventures could be documented or shared.

As a newspaper editor (among many professions) he focused on the plight of others, their stories and refused to document his own exploits across the globe. It is extremely valuable for youth to know the adventures of their forebearers.
