When we look to understand ourselves, we learn most from viewing those we spend the most time with. For many that may be a pet. They walk with us through life’s trials, without judgement, and with unwavering support. Their voices are never truly aired and yet that same voice echoes through with reciprocated love. For me those eyes of kindness are canine, and the voices are many and varied which led me down this journey…

The Wag N Paw Symphony were traveling to yet another sold out gig. Their wheels, a converted school bus, was also their rehearsal space. As they rolled down the tarmac, leading into their fifth month of road touring, tempers like whiskers were frazzled, irritations and angst like that itch one couldn’t scratch, nagged and niggled.

Wolfgang, the Deerhound, held his enormous hundred kilo torso propped in the front seat near the driver. His long shag of electrified, confused, grey hair concealed the fact he was sound asleep as the bickering rattled behind him.
