I feel I have no right to comment as I am blessed with multiple passports and visa possibilities that allow me a huge array of options in sensible countries, though that was curtailed somewhat by the idiocy of Brexit.

I see America's greatest disease lies in the inability to have more than two viable parties to represent the people forcing uncomfortable voter compromises on issues in order to 'stay' the party line.

The country has evolved form centuries before but the political structure has not.

A new paradigm for self-governance is overdue as the current system is edging ever closer to anarchy.

In the age of technology is it not time to elect not only by party, but by issue or agenda?

Can gun control, abortion, euthanasia, family health care, education expenditure, national medical assistance, etc. etc. also be put on the ballot?

It would be alarming if elected officials had to adhere to popular opinion rather than always being concerned about maintaining party line to assure re-election and their personal job security, as most politicians work for the financial benefits not for any altruistic ideals.

Well argued Jessica. I am baffled by the madness of your country. K
