Hi,

Thank you for the article. The internment of Japanese Americans has been a blemish on America and Canada for decades. Like so many horrors in one's past it is shunted away to the rear of the closet. True progress can only be made by looking within at one's past as a person, family, or nation and confronting the errors of judgement that contrived to enforce such racist actions. America is not alone in this, all nations have the skeletons of racism rattling in their closets.

Postonpreservation on instagram is an active and informative movement trying to bring this injustice to light.

Also I have a book titled The Searching. It is five stars on Amazon and I would be happy to send you or any who have taken the time to read your fine article a digital copy. It is about the journey of a Japanese American from The Tule Lake internment camp to Europe, and on to the final days of Tokyo at the end of the war. It is an attempt to find an identity. Message your preferred format and I'll send it.

BUT my response is not about my book, it is about your approach and this historical betrayal of what America really stands for.

Well written, susinct, pithy and very appreciated.
