Thank you for taking the time to comment. Diddy is an evil onto his own and the gullible are prayed upon by the unscrupulous across the globe. I, as a long term resident in Tokyo and having lived across Japan, did not refute the existence of this underbelly of humanity in my comment. It exists. If you are a resident here, then you are aware that the pockets (Kabukicho/ Ikebukuro, various areas in Osaka) where it exists are small (a few blocks) and not a plague covering the entirety of Japan as described in the original article, to which I took affront. It is not the decadent crawl as was the Reeperbahn in years past.

In fact there are more articles in Japanese papers and even on the BBC, about the innocence and lack of sexual awareness/ experience in High School/ University graduates than there are about the scourge of sex as commerce. Even in your comment you stated 'a few famous cases' . One 'Diddy' or a 'few cases' does not mean the society has completely gone to the dogs as professed in the original article. Unsavory and unfortunate situations, such as those discussed here, exist in ALL societies, there is no argument there. My point was and remains that the brush with which she tars and feathers Japan is grossly out of proportion and is more akin to salacious click bait than true journalism.
