Your points are succinct and absolutley appropriate. Unfortunately the author chose to use color as a soap box to expound her own personal agenda. Domestic violence is wrong and should be condemned. The case in question is about violence. Premeditated uncontrolled violence. The only mention of color was by the author and I think that was gratuitous and in the end disrespectful to a different sickness.
