Coronavirus, an opportunity not to miss?

Now the time is ripe to cast your stars in a new direction.

It spoke to me in conflicted, abstract verse,

The tone was acidic, confronting and terse.

The open palm, forgiveness, suggested hope at hand,

But reality, like death, thrust forward to command.

Why, it asked after months wandering in extended bliss,

Would I this ephemeral opportunity chance to miss?

Long days, short nights, left me searching inside.

Perceived fear urged me to fawn under normalcy, scurry and hide.

Yet I am yanked forward, as opportunity stands wanton on the street,

I yearn the bravery to grasp the moment, make my life complete.

Resolved, new born, I dash on, severing my life, leave it behind,

I’ve chosen a different path — the expansion of my mind.

Grateful, I explore my mind and my soul begins to wake,

Through isolation I found the courage for a new future to take.
