Congrats on self-publishing. The horse is yours, now you have to ride it. In the marketing of books there are more layers than an onion and they will all make you cry or at least entice your wallet to weep. I've got nine novels out there, but am I a writer if I self-publish? I would like to think so. I use vellum as my writing platform, staggeringly good piece of software. The number of classic and current mainstream writers who have walked the self-publishing road will give you good company.

Keep your advertising purse strings tight and your cynical appraisal of platforms high. There are many sharks lurking at the foot of the plank all knocking the hull hoping you will fall in. Your writing suggests you are wise enough to steer clear of the false tales in a fortune cookie. Congrats and may your novel be a break out success artistically and finacially. K
