An enjoyable read, but as you are a writer of intelligence and compassion, why did you diminish the impact of your thoughts and argument by introducing color and gender? For me the intentions would have carried more influence had gender and color been eliminated. I accept it was initially directed toward one specific individual's platform, but as the truths are being bandied as universal, I would have preferred to see a broader view. The constructions are valid but negated by the racial/gender trappings. Perhaps Oprah would agree?
