Alas I have arrived at the party late. The points you make have substance and legs to provoke mental discourse so as one who aspires to write and instigator of thought, congratulations to you. However, my trouble lies in the somewhat limited scope of the bull metaphor. Initially I thought it apt, but then the flavor turned.

These bulls are not sweetly grazing and meandering in fields of joy. The animals are bred and reared to be aggressive. The madness and rage they emit is not something I see in the Ukrainian people. I don't see them charging the Russian bear.

The bull within the ring is treated with honor and respect. I don't see that in the bombings of shelters, hospitals and evacution lines.

The Matador de Toros is a man of reverence who holds no hatred for the bull. I do not see that from Putin. He seems to loathe the Ukrainian people.

The Picadors are there to support the Matador and ensure a graceful end to the bull's life. I do not see that from the rape and carnage purveyed by the Russian soldiers.

Once the bull has fought to an end the animal is slaughtered and processed. There will be naught left of the Ukraine with the Russian scorched earth policy.

If the Bull should win or not be defeated openly, it can be pardoned. It is then led away and slaughtered off site as is its birth mother to ritually put an end to the bloodline. How will that happen with the Ukraine?

The Kiss of Death photo lays judgement on the man who raised and sold the bull. Valid. However it extends to the morbid crowd that pays to be entertained with the plight and destruction of another being. It is a human trait... not a positive one.

But, bravo to your article, it was invigorating and carries several truths. Cheers.K
