A very sobering article. I am astounded that it has received so few 'claps,' perhaps the enlightenment incapsulated in your piece renders the reader numb to appreciation. I hope they wake up. It is very informative.

Unfortunately I see one 'flaw,' not in the article, but in the audience. Readers at Medium, I am sure though have no data, are well over 25years old on average. The target group for awakening should be 14-25 year-olds. Your message and the message of others involved in shedding light on the impending climate devastations and how to combat/mitigate them must be taught in schools. Youth today must be informed of what previous generations have saddled them with and the immediacy of not laying blame, but of implementing solutions.

Educators need to provide youth with data to allow them, the inheritors of the climate debacle, to assess their situation.

A study class teaching history should be complimented by a class studying futures in regard to climate.
