A curious question... 'why.'

What does he /she do that makes you love?

Where does time with him or her take you?

When does he or she lift your spirit?

How does their being and emotion drown you?

Who delves within your soul to find the sunrise?

But... 'why?'

To ask 'why' are we not seeking a justification? Is not 'why' a search of appeasement? Does not 'why' exist only to placate an insecurity?

I don't know. I don't begin to know, but to ask 'why' of the condition of love is like asking a fish if it feels the water, does air feel the rain, can the sun know its warmth. To be in love with another is to be consumed willingly, to plunge, to soar. For me it is not to ask 'why.'

Evocative and engaging, thank you. K
